Does anyone's digestive tract or digestion "change" when (hypo)manic?
TMI, but I keep getting diarrhea right now. Always happens when hypomanic or manic. Then I also don't feel hungry on top of that, so I hardly eat a thing. I keep shitting and not eating. When depressed, I get constipation.. Though I wonder if it's from me eating lazy people food? (Usually I'm too depressed to cook food, so I just eat lazy things that take 0-60 seconds to prepare, hence the possibility of that causing constipation.) |

I agree with Laurie. There are strong links between gut health and psychiatric states.

Holy crap there's gotta be a link, my past acute anxiety was always followed immediately with a trip to the washroom! (Still is on occasion)

I take lactobacillus acidophilus. Keeps me regular. I sound like an old person when I say that.

Probiotics helped my gut get back on track in 2015 after months of diarrhea and weight loss. That and limiting gluten and fatty greasy foods.
