I was recently put on this. I read the label and side effects. I was just wondering what everyone's experience with it was.

I don't know if my side effects are from this or one of the other 4 new meds I was put on.

I've been on this for a little over a month. I was terrified of the possible side effects, but so far I haven't experienced any. And it seems to be helping. Best of luck to you!

I had to stop risperdal due to an embarrassing side effect. But otherwise it worked great. I hope you tolerate it well.

I was on Risperdal for about a year. I really liked how it calmed me down. Then my hands and feet swelled up and I was taken off. Hope that doesn't happen to you.

I'm on Risperdal currently, however I'm also on four other medications. The side effect that I think is from the Risperdal is a weird sleepy feeling. Kind of like part of time is sleepy and part of me isn't.

Risperdal and its updated version invega have been awesome for me. Quell all manic/mixed symptoms. But they both raise my prolactin so I ended up gaining 60 pounds. That part was no fun. I'm on latuda now instead. So far so good. But risperdal is my go to drug, I will take it again if latuda doesn't work out and just deal with the weight gain.

It worked great for me but raised my blood pressure drastically so I had to stop taking it. It worked so well that I tried going on it 3 times before we finally gave up as an allergy.
