Since no psychiatrist will take me and prescribe clozapine, I'm not going to take it anymore. What good is a med that works if you've got no one to prescribe it?
I will do it very slowly to avoid withdrawals. I don't think I have bipolar illness or schizoaffective or anything like that (maybe depression, but its not that bad) and I'm not really concerned about symptoms coming back. The only thing I'm concerned about is insomnia, but surely I don't need clozapine for insomnia.

That really sucks that health care is so bad you can't get continued follow up.

I definitely understand your inability to find a psychiatrist... I'm having trouble with that as well. It sucks.

I called around to see about the possibility of making an appointment with another pdoc for a second opinion. Really difficult to find one. I hope your taper off clozapine goes smoothly. Best wishes.
