I somehow forgot to pay the debt collector this month. I owe about $6,000 from 2013 when I attempted e suicide and was transferred via ambulance to hospital. It all adds up to that. Now they want the payment in full. If I send them some
Money will they back off and let me pay monthly again?? I'm freaking out. When I get a job that's the bill I'll really be working hard to pay off. Going ip or to hospital without insurance will put you in serious debt!

If you are low income, many hospitals have patient assistance programs that will let you pay in small monthly payments you can afford, or even write off what you owe if you're very low income. Since it's already gone to collections you may have to negotiate with the agency instead, but most are willing to work with you even though you've missed a payment.

Those hospitals don't have assistance programs which is why it's so high and went to collections. I was so sick I couldn't work and didn't have insurance. That's why I was so suicidal-stupid bipolar. There was no option but to make small payments. I get paid in two days for a side job so I will send money and maybe they'll leave me alone til I'm working and can send more
