I need to ***** and moan for a sec here. I'm fed up. These side effects are almost bad enough that I want to quit my meds (but I know better). Im bloated as hell and even at 105lbs, I have a swollen gut that makes me look preggo. Also, my hair comes out by the clump. I have to clean my brush every other day. It's not AS bad since I started special shampoo and vitamins though. And then there's the zombie like sedation the whole day. It takes everything to get out of bed in the morning. And when I first started lamictal I had a bad side effect of sleep walking. I would actually call people in my sleep and have no memory of it at all. Luckily that side effect went away though!

K that was my rant. How about yours?Side effects. Ugh

Thanks!! Other than the pesky side effects, I'm doing pretty good!! Longest I've been stable in years.

And yes the memory issue!!! I can't even remember what I did yesterday. I get confused easily and I feel just flat out dumb as a box of rocks lol

I would quit meds if my hair fell out because I have a hard enough time leaving the house and baldness would make me a permanent shut in. I'm bloated from my meds....my. Stomach is so swollen but it's not that bad yet.....I just increased my meds by a substantial amount and am watching for side effects....if my weight climbs too fast I will have to stop as I will again become even more of a shut in than I already am. It might not be right to be how I am but I'm not very different from most women so I refuse to let anyone think my priories are skewed. I need to get vitamins cause my eating habit are terrible.

Meds don't sedate me when I'm like I currently am. I'd be ok with some sedation.....anyone taken Thorazine?

The most noticeable side-effects that I've experienced were induced ultra-rapid-cycling and racing thoughts, but the most embarrassing of them all: hand tremors. I'd be out with friends and I'd look like I was a freaking junky because it seemed like I couldn't hold a plate or glass without spilling because my hands would shake so much! I'd literally hold a glass with both hands like I was a toddler! I'd be so anxious when I'd order a beer because I'd be worried I was going to spill it everywhere!

I had a friend that was schizophrenic and always paranoid and hyper. He swears by Thorazine to calm down. I've always wanted to try it. It takes a dart gun tranquelizer to put me out lol. (Not really. But a lot of seroquel!)

I need a dart gun tranquilizer too....even seroquel didn't sedate me. I slept 11 hours last night but woke up feeling like I'd been shot with an amphetamine dart. Uggg.

The weight gain is a major issue for me as well. And restlessness. And insomnia. And wanting to eat constantly. And doing **** I typically wouldn't do like sleeping with someone I barely know.

My only real side effect is gas. Terrible, embarrassing gas. I can't go out in public any more.

Sorry you're having all those awful side effects, rx.

I don't have any noticeable side effects from my meds. I know I'm lucky.

The only side effects I deal with are reduced sodium levels and restlessness. The sodium thing is ok, I'm just in the low normal range. Just means I have to eat a bit of salt. The restlessness and restless leg thing I get from Latuda can piss off though. I get about an hour or so to go to sleep after taking it before I'm screwed.

My nurse is insisting that I take depakote and I'm terrified of weight gain. I'm already 200 pounds, I can't afford to gain more weight. I'm going to have to be super strict with my diet.
The latuda had the side effect of crippling anxiety. Plus it didn't even work.

I think the worst med for me in terms of side effects was lithium. Dry mouth, thirsty constantly, gained 20 pounds, hands shook like crazy. And I was a spaced out zombie. I'll never take that **** agian.

Mine is mostly severe tiredness. I'm too tired to do anything. I'm basically a shut in now, because i'm too tired and nervous to leave the house alone.
On the weekend I go out with my husband but not for too long.
Also one of my meds makes me very hot I cant stand the sun anymore and walking outdoors is murder.
