It's 3 pm and I'm still in bed. I have some desire to get to the gym but also don't want to get out of bed. I got out earlier to make lunch and take my meds. I need some push to get to gym.

Boogie.....do you have any pretty parks in your area? If you can't get to the gym, perhaps a nice walk in nature could he even better? The gym would be wonderful....finding a workout buddy could be a wonderful thing for you and really help motivate you to be consistent. Too bad gyms don't have a service to help you find a compatible workout buddy.....it can make all the difference. I hope you find the inspiration you need to get unstuck.

It's no use I'm crying in bed. I also need to go food shopping and cook something for the week. All I'm doing is feeling sorry for myself. There isn't any point, I'm just a waste.

There are ways to work out in the comfort of your own home, there are plenty of free Youtube workouts out there for people who are beginners to advanced athletes. If you ever want some recommendations for workouts you can do without equipment, just let me know. The "I can't get to the gym" is a very common excuse for not working out, but it just isn't a very good excuse. I hope you are able to get yourself unstuck.

I am not really sure what to say, as I am in bed right now feeling the same way. I hope you are able to get out at least for a little bit and that, that might bring you even a bit of relief. (((hugs)))

I'm on the couch right now not to far from the bed. When I'm feeling bad and can't leave the house I make myself a cup of coffee with lots of cream and sugar. Sometimes it's the little things. Maybe there something you can do for yourself at home today and hit the gym tomorrow if you can't exercise today.

Boogie, Have you thought about going IP for a bit? It sounds like your depression is getting worse by the day.

Hi Boogie, I agree with Guiness. I think IP would be valuable for you.

I agree with Guiness and Laurie. IP might be a good idea at this stage of the game. I hope you get unstuck and feel better soon. Sending big hugs.

Perhaps you could lower the bar a little and go for a nice walk instead of going to the gym. I gave up on the gym a long time ago. I did not enjoy it. Now, instead, I walk for an hour. If I do that, I feel that I have accomplished something. It always makes me feel better. Maybe it will do the same for you.
Thanks for this!
