Look I love music, who doesn't??

It used we happen when I was manic but now it's just about every day especially at night. I get songs stuck in my head and I play over and over and not just like a simple earworm but obsessively. It drives me insane and sometimes it songs that I hate and it can be just one little bitty verse over and over that I can't stop from playing in my head. The therapist that I was seeing had no real answer for me and my doctor just wanted to increase my Haldol. So I'm hoping that when I start seeing my old psychologist again he can help me think of some coping skills to get this to go to way because I'm not sure I can take it much longer.

Anyone else??

Yes, this happens to me. Every distinctive note of whichever song is playing in my mind. I find that mood stabilizers help right away.

Horribly for the last 2 months. It used to only be when manic; now I'm mixed and it is absolute torture. I've had 3 increases in my clozapine which helped some but it is still constant. I can pick it up anywhere, even just reading a few words that might go together in a song and it's trapped. I am better than 2 weeks ago but I really don't know how much longer I can stand it, especially one that I can't even find what song it even is; did I make it up or change something in it or what?

I'm on the narrow line about the hospital for this but since all they can really do is up my clozapine I'm staying home if possible. We'll see. My pdoc has been on vacation so at least I made it through that.

So sorry you have to deal with this too.

I'm sorry you're having a tough time with it. I hope your pdoc or tdoc can help provide some relief. Sending big hugs.

I seem to always have a song stuck in my head; usually I cope with it by going on YouTube and listening to an equally catchy song that I actually don't mind as much as the first song. If it's really troubling you, though, I would bring it up at your next psychiatrist appointment. There may be a medication that can at least quiet the music somewhat.
