Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I rarely if ever post about my OCD

I saw in my medical notes "possible OCD traits"

(I mentioned in another thread I was told by a doctor I have OCD, in fact it was a therapist

Another doctor who I spoke to for a few minutes wrote it in my notes

How can I proceed with this post without it turning into a rant..

I spin in circles and my fears vs chances of them happening

It's madness

The words said by too many doctors go and round in my head, as they all knew I had and have anxiety I don't understand why....

I'm sorry this is a wasted post I think as the "solution" is meds which I'm allergic to and which have as side effects other things ............

I currently take a benzo and don't see it as a solution to anxiety, but rather as a band-aid solution. It helps during my bad attacks but medication doesn't help us to address the deeper reasons behind our anxiety, or to truly overcome it.

I think with anxiety that is severe the best thing to do is work through it with a good therapist. That is how I overcame my OCD intrusive thoughts, through lots and lots of therapy.

Now I struggle with emetophobia (fear of vomiting) and take ativan during particularly tough attacks. I know it is not a solution and do not want to be taking these forever.
