I was, definitely, disabled...as much by heavy, involuntary shock "treatment" as by an underlying "illness." Now?

Now, my IQ estimate is up. I'm doing much better. I'm also thoroughly labeled, slathered in stigma. 'disabled,' now largely because of the labels and a shady reputation.

I don't know. Sometimes, I wish I'd never gone to a shrink.

How did they give you ECT without your consent? I hope things are better now.

Labels are just labels and stigmas are just in the eyes of the beholder. It's their problem, not yours. All that matters is your own health...and would you rather be back where you were that prompted you to go to a shrink in the first place?
I know, I know! Pretty pithy coming from a disabled person, right?
