The thoughts that I have been there before and I have survived. The point is I have been worse off than I am now in a depressive episode.

Question: How do you know a paranoia is just that and not real life?

I suppose you don't.

I mean, I guess anything is possible, right?

I know for example, the FBI is only in America

that's not to say they chose not to fly over to England and get a secret agent to watch outside my house.

question:

what are you thinking about right now?

(I am thinking, why is the questions thread on page 2 again. lol)

I'm thinking about the sheet full of questions I have to fill out for my son's IEP tonight. I don't want too. Requires too much thought.

Do you like books?

Books are my escape as long as I am well enough to concentrate. Even when things get bad I read children's books that I have read so many times I don't need to focus.

How do you escape from the world?

it used to be reading. I read a lot!
but I have major focus issues that almost seem permanent these days
so now I watch interesting videos on YouTube depending on what I'm into at the time

have you ever regretted social media use after an episode?

And I discovered that my castles stand

Once I caught someone making fun (of me I am 99% sure) and stood up for myself, handling it badly and publicly and it was so bad I closed my account and only have family and a few friends on FB now. If I hadn't been manic or mixed (don't remember) I would have just blocked and moved on and avoided humiliation.

Do you ever have sleep issues that don't point to a mood change coming (or acute stress)?

same as me.

I mean I sort of have a love hate thing with books.. i'll start out all interested, have focus issues, and skip straight to the end

then feel guilty I missed so much of the book and go in to a depression

and cute cat videos... awww!

or go in google and type I think I hate my mommy, really funny video.

I did it once because I wanted to get out some anger

yes.

question: do you ever find that sometimes your body ttempeture reacts to your mood?

like if you're depressed or irritable, your body gets really hot?

I know when I feel a manic state coming on I get goosebumps, for example

Yes! When depressed I am cold. Manic doesn't equal hot but depression is very often cold. So every time I get depressed I get my thyroid checked thinking my med needs adjusted and every time it is fine. My family dr just goes with it although he must know by now that it's my routine.

Do you have trouble relaxing then sleeping if your neighbors are noisy in the late evening/early night?

My mom asked me not long ago when my bipolar would go away?
Q: If you had one wish, what would it be?

Not yet there is too much of the brain that no one understands yet.

Q How much money a year do you spend on your illness.

Out-of-pocket for pdoc and pharmacy copays, I usually pay in the ballpark of $1800 to $2500 per year depending what is going on. By the end of this year, probably about $2000. I do not see a T, and I have never been hospitalized. Otherwise, it'd be higher.

What has been your longest period of depression?

it's impossible to pick just 1 time.

I think that anything that gets so bad that it leads to suicide attempts is probably top of the list...

if I had to choose, when I came out of hospital 1 time for undereating.

being in the hospital was bad enough, I mean so many things happened in the space of my time their- but coming out the following march, and then realising, not just the damage you'd done to your body, and how little you had to live for, but also the recovery you had to follow, in order to get back to a healthy weight.

I must have sat around the house day after day just longing for death (not even music would cheer me up)

do you like to use perfume/ aftershave?

if so what one do you use?
