He's not sure he likes her. I told her about two weeks ago he was suicidal. For now she wants to see him 1x a week. I didn't even know they were allowed to have that frequently. She called us in the last 15 min. and asked about medication, symptoms we see, ourselves and just general questions. I have hope she's a good T for him. He's agreed to take medication until he sees his new pdoc on the 12th. I'm not sure he'll stick to it but we'll see.

Me: I'm ready to kick my T to the curb. I have nothing to say. I don't talk much in real life but I'm down right silent in therapy. I'm not struggling with anything even when there is she doesn't seem to get me. Her go to answer is to get up and do something productive until my symptom stop bother me. It's like telling a depressed person just think happy thoughts.

I'm glad your son's T seems to be working out and sorry yours doesn't. She doesn't sound like a good fit for you. Can you change?

Unfortunately I can't change T's because she's the only one that accepts my insurance and is not seeing my husband or son.

It must be a relief to witness your son working well with his T and vice versa.

I am sorry you and your therapist are not a good fit.

Have you been able to tell her that her current approach does not work for you? I wonder if she might have other approaches available to her?

As always, it's good to hear from you!

I haven't said anything to her about her approach. I really, really don't want to but may have to if I continue therapy.

Unless it's court mandated, you don't have to keep going. Maybe another will come along that's a fit, but don't waste your time and money on a bad relationship, including one with a therapist
