I started taking Invega Sustenna in May for bipolar, and since that time I have not slept over five hours. I am able to fall asleep; however, I find it impossible to go back to bed. Does anyone know if insomnia is a side effect of Invega Sustenna? If so, is it possibly transient, so I can expect it to go away?

I've been on the Invega shot for years and I haven't had any trouble sleeping. Sorry you're having trouble. Lack of sleep sucks!

I was also on it for three years, and I never had trouble with insomnia.

Insomnia means a risk of hypomania for me. I'm wondering if you are OK?
