I'm out of Latuda samples. Pdoc is out of town. I'm wondering if I should increase my dose of Seroquel to compensate. Anyone have advice?

Have you tried calling your pdoc's office to see what they would suggest?

No, you shouldn't change your meds without your pdocs consent! It may be unsafe to increase Seroquel.

Usually psychiatry offices have emergency lines that you can call. Can you try to see if your psychiatrist's office has one?

A lot of places will give you a script for a few days to hold you over and if you do have any left, just lower the dosage till you can get to the doctor, stretch it out. Better than abruptly stopping.

Called. No advice. I was at 600mg Seroquel XR prior to starting Latuda (dropped to 400mg). I've added back 50mg of Seroquel XR (total 450mg) and it appears to be doing the trick. I'm more exhausted than when I was on Latuda.

Attempted to get a short term fill, but no discount is available due to being on Medicare Part D. Still on the waiting list to receive prescription assistance from Parkland. Crossing fingers to get this resolved soon.

What is Parkland? Latuda is marketed by Sunovion; if you haven’t gone to them for prescription assistance, you should give it a shot. They might give it to you for free.

Or send me a PM. I’ve think I’ve got a few unused bottles of the stuff sitting around. Probably illegal to send them to you, but at $1,100/bottle, I’d love to give Sunovion just a bit of a shaft for one patient who needs it.
