So just really a check in for folks that followed a few of my earlier threads. I was taking lamotrigine, Cymbalta and seroquel for sleep. We pulled out the Cymbalta, replaced with Abilify and have a prn of xanax. It has been a good change and even is finally where I am. My last depressed episode ran months so this is a nice change of pace finally. I've made med changes in the past (been fighting this since 2005) and it seems whenever a change is made, I do well for a while. I hope this is more permanent this go around.

I hope the change works out well for you. I've done the med merry-go-round. I know how the constant trials can leave one toasted.

All the best

Awesome! Good to hear. Cymbalta gave me irritable hypo, but that was without a mood stabilizer.

Hope this is the right combo for you. I'm adding lithium to my mix; I haven't been able to deal with side effects of other meds. Im really hoping this is it for me this time as welll.

I hope lithium works out for you. Lithium made my hand tremors worse. However, now that they are worse without Lithium, so what difference will it make for me now?

Good luck Key Tones- we discussed Lithium but my pdoc told me it can have negative effects on ones cognition. I said "no go" once I heard that.
