Talk to the medical staff there. You will probably just have to wait until after you are discharged from IP. Then see PCP. Then a referral for a sleep study. There is a link between sleep apnea and depression.

I stopped breathing often before I had a sleep study and went on CPAP. It makes sleep more restful.

People I've spoken with say that CPAP machines change their lives for the better. I know people who stopped being depressed, people who stopped being tired all the time. I've also been told that I stop breathing in my sleep. It's on my list to speak with my GP about it, do a sleep study, and hopefully get a CPAP machine.

Yes, you should get it checked out if you suspect sleep apnea. A CPAP machine can make all the difference in the world. It's the first thing I pack when I travel. I thought mine wasn't that bad but I stopped breathing an average of 17 times an hour at this last sleep study so I guess it's moderate.
