Welcome back! I am glad to see you are doing well.

I have a question for all of you if you do not mind me asking. How does one afford hospital stays? I am sure that it is necessary when it happens, so cost is not be considered. The last time I was admitted to a psych hospital was over 30 years ago even though since then I came very close to admitting myself a couple times. Fortunately my employer paid for all of my hospital stay, all $100,000 of it for one month. I just do not want to feel that I cannot afford to go when I need to go.

Tuscon-For me Medicare picks up 80% after a deductible around $1200. I used to have Medicaid that kicked in after I spent a certain amount but that program ended so I'll have to cover all the co-pay and 20% after this which scares me. My hospital lets you make a payment plan or sets you up with 0% interest and I guess that will be how I pay for the next time. It frankly scares me since usually if I go once I'm going to go a 2nd time, based on history.

Yeah I pay 20% and it's a lot! But inWAS doing so unwell that the doctor said I needed to go because it was too much to treat outpatient. I was losing it!

I really didn't wanna go.

I make payments and I am in debt from last year's ip stays.
