This includes psych meds and physical health meds.
Rexulti Lamictal Lexapro Klonopin Atorvastatin Ritalin Mine is working okay...ish. I'm pretty depressed, but that's because I stopped my meds and became manic (according to my therapist). I suppose they work pretty well when I stay on them... |

I feel good, except for my head fog. But the fog isn't a mood thing.
EDIT TO ADD: It has not been very long that I have been on this mix, but it made me feel better than I have in years. I hope it lasts...

Overall good; a bit of the "features" popup from time to time; and I'm moderately restless; I intend to at least have a short conversation about the trade off between completely feature free and too much of the pacing/tapping thing. I am coming to the conclusion that the AP was enough to prevent a triggered depressive episode a couple months ago. Which is definitely a good thing.
It may be that where I'm at is optimal and I should avoid trying to "gild the lily", as I can certainly work and participate in things well enough.

Good--no "episodes" in almost seven years--unlike my last combo of psych meds.

It keeps me off the bottom, but it doesn't keep me fully stable. Consequently, the monthly ECT.

They've kept me stable for over a year. They're still working, just have to deal with situational stuff.

Not all that well, but some of the symptoms I experience (extreme anxiety, for example) could be part of menopause. It's very hard (or impossible) to tell. I'm on Cymbalta, low-dose lithium, low-dose Seroquel for sleep, and Klonopin. I wish my pdoc would raise the lithium.

We are still thinking about doing some adjusting, both in psych meds and otherwise. I think the chemo drug is making me depressed again... I'll give it another week. My pdoc thinks I still have a post-concussion syndrome from an attack/assault and we are seeking the input of a neurologist as to meds for the cognitive symptoms.
On another note, the abilify was helping (until I'd started the chemo injections again). As my pdoc said today, I "have many intensive conditions to try to manage. It's also a challenge for the doctors." ![]() WC

I think my meds are fine.
I am just getting slammed over and over with situational stuff that has me currently hating the world, Med change wont fix anything unless I totally lose my shyt.

They were working pretty good until recently. Then things started to happen. (Situational) Which caused me to go into a hypomanic state. A lot of anger/agitation. I was put on a new mood stabilizer so I won't know how it works for a while still. Hopefully it will help.

Going on 4 yrs with this cocktail.....I've started to wonder if I'm really BP maybe all the crap was bad karma? But I pop the meds daily cause I don't want to risk the nightmare returning.

I'm the same way. My med cocktail works so well that I question my bipolar 1 diagnosis and think maybe I'm not anymore. I have one hypomanic episode in the spring and a mild depression during the winter, and that's it---otherwise I'm good all year round. I haven't had a serious manic episode in four years, or a bad depression in three.
Then again, I have my blog entries to prove that I have been VERY manic in the past, and I'm only sane because the meds make me that way. Hmph.

Mine seems to work very well. I've been mostly stable on my current cocktail for a few years. Have had a couple breakthrough episodes. We just raised the dosages of all my meds, and then I was fine again. I stay on the lower end of dosages, so still have a lot of room to adjust them up.

My meds are working pretty well. I am stable most of the time. Lately I'm having problems with depression because I'm overwhelmed with care giver burn out. There is no magic pill for that, but I sure wish there was.

Not sure, just went up. The Wellbutrin is doing something but mood is still crashing. Morning was pretty good mood for a change.....very chipper, very excited, very expressive. My husband who is cautious said it was "just the right amount" but then it went bad. Too soon to tell and Monday I pick up a new script. My brother is trying to get me to kill myself. He's stalking me. I'm ignoring him.....he's emotionally and physically molested me enough for one lifetime! He's been doing it for years. Anything he wants from my parents he can have.......there really is no point in doing all this.

I'm just on Geodon. I was on Lamictal for two years also but I came off that completely for 5 months. No where near a mood swing. I think I just had a bad experience with an antidepressant, and I just needed to get that med out fo my system and find a balance for awhile. I take the AP Geodon to prevent delusions and paranoia.

Not well at all. Can't see the PN until the 17th and the new PCP won't prescribe the old meds that kept me stable.

I started this particular cocktail about 3 years ago and it's working for me: Seroquel
Abilify Lamictal Propranolol klonopin (methadone and Alleve for pain) The propranolol is for the shakes I get (got, it's been very effective) from the Abilify. The only other side effect I've noticed is that I need a minimum of 10 hours of sleep with the Seroquel, even though I'm on a low dose at this point. On work days I have to go to bed very very early, and sometimes even that's not enough. I drink two double espressos every morning to get going. |
