When I drink my dystonia goes away and I am pain free. But lately drinking has been giving me intrusive thoughts. What would you choose, mind or body?

Gabapentin treats pain nerve pain—that is what comes to mind. I would want to try that first. I use it for anxiety, but it is some sort of pain med at higher doses.

I don’t know the answer to your Q.

Ugh, sorry!

You’re really suffering I take it. Did you end up going to your last appointment? What did the pdoc advise doing?

I’m sorry you are struggling with dystonia. I would probably straddle that line as long as it’s temporary. Can you strike an optimal balance between the two? Sending big hugs.
