So I'm leaving my therapist that I see every two weeks. I'm mostly okay except short intense episodes that I'm handling. My T is no help. I don't blame her. It's me I knew after she said to put my son in school that I wasn't explaining our family dynamic well enough. I tried a while after that but it's not going to work. She's frustrated, I'm frustrated it's just not a good relationship. I don't plan to get a new T. So there's that.
Now my current pdoc will see I'm mostly stable and want to see me in 6 months. Do I ask for a 3 month appointment or do I take the 6 month appointment? I'm worried I'm over looking things and think I'm doing better then I am. He's not good at taking calls in between. So I'm SOL if something hapens in between. I don't know what to do.

3 months ... But only if you decide to be compliant. If not than why take up an appt someone else may need.

I think that's so cool that you're stable on your meds for so long! My pdoc won't write for more than three months. Me, I'd miss her if I went 6 mos without her, but I'd also like the 3- month reality check.

I agree that I'd ask to be seen in 3 months, especially if you're not seeing a therapist. To be honest, at my very best when I finally got off of Long-term disability and was again working full-time, I still saw my pdoc every 3 months, and was seeing my tdoc every 3 weeks.

Three month may be good idea. I still have to see mine monthly. Right now it's biweekly

I think 6 months is too long. Three months is good during stability. So much can happen in 6 months though. I'm actually surprised your pdoc would let you go that long without seeing you.

I'm hoping to go up on the lamictal and leave the zyprexa alone. I'm doing every three months now and I'll ask for three months if he recommends 6 months.
