So I moved into a new apartment early in the year. I got a steal of a price and all was good until a few weeks back.

All of a sudden a massive construction popped up right next to my building. Every morning at 7 am the trucks that beep all day and drilling equipment that makes horrific booming noises starts. I have been countering by working at 6 am to noon, but still catch 6 hours of the end and I just want to come home and take a nap but so hard.

I take a day off per week and I cant sleep in and it goes all day.

It triggered me a few times last week and I went gambling. Today I fought the urge off, but the noise is triggering me so hard. My lease is up in three months and think I may bail and give up this place as I dont think I can take it and the project goes another year.

Such a drag as Im sick of moving. But I think it may make me move cities as I dont have a reason to be in this city that will be cold soon anyway.

Uggggg have a thousand problems and just want a quiet place and not worry about this!

I think I would have to move also. That degree of noise would have me a mess very quickly.

Hope you can find a good solution soon

I wouldn't be able to handle that. Hope something works out soon.

One time I was in a crisis unit that's located in a house. Noise was already getting to me THEN one morning they started drilling next door!!! I was hypo and my anxiety went nuts and no one understood why I was upset. Im happy I can at least say I understand your pain!

I endured a similar situation in a foreign country. Construction started at 3 a.m. every day. I did not think I could endure it, but I did. Eventually I moved to another apartment, only to have to endure the bed bugs. Made me wish for my old place back.

Glad to see Im not alone on this! It really has thrown me off, but on the good news is getting me out to work more instead of staying in bed, cause its more annoying than work.

Maybe when they enter other phases it wont be as bad, I have two months to decide but will start to make plans to bail.

My mom is hard of hearing and plays the tv at top volume. I use ear plugs to block out most if not all the noise. You could give it a try. Best wishes.

It seems that wherever I live there's some kind of noise going on. Noise pollution is a serious problem.

Finally moved to a quiet and much better place after 4 months of this hell noise, so happy for once!

I cant believe it, I got a balcony! Is getting cold as snuts but when May hits I can get a hammock and read outside my place.
