I woke up night before last to seeing a man who had been walking towards my bedroom with his finger to his lips, going 'shhhhhhhhhhhhh.' Then he backed up and went out the door.

I didn't change the locks when I moved in here some 6 months ago.

I live alone.

I got up, called a friend, and then a locksmith who came out and changed the locks. This was in the middle of the night.

The thing is, I don't know if it was a 'dream' (a waking dream, does that happen??) or a hallucination, or if it really happened.

Because it's so unlikely (or appears to be so) the consensus amongst my closest friend and my family is that it was a waking dream or a hallucination.

I had been seeing things and movement out of the corner of my eye for about a week before this happened. Before this I had had 1 day of hypomanic symptoms, which I put down to nothing, maybe anxiety, because being that short it couldn't have had to do with BP.

So was this a progression into a BP-induced hallucination, a dream I had while awake, or real???

I had flashbacks all day at work yesterday

Has this happened to anyone? What do you think it was? I just don't know. I just know it was so so real.
