I get this sense that people in my classes (university) don’t like me and almost like they’re gravitating away from me.

There’s a high chance I might run into at least some of them because of the Industry I’m going to be working in... so not caring what people think isn’t really a good option.

I’m just hoping for some friendly small talk, not necessarily looking for friends (though I wouldn’t mind).

There could be a lot of reasons why this is happening (hey maybe I smell?) so I guess, my real question is, how do I figure out what that reason is?

P.S. none of my close friends are in my program, so I can’t ask them.

Idk if it's relevant, but I notice this vibe more after I come out of a depressive episode, might be related? Ppl seem to like me when I'm hypomanic

I had a friend that everyone disliked him because of they way he looked. Nothing he could change. It could be you're just over thinking it. I would make sure you do basic hygiene before each class (shower, change, shave, teeth, brushed, deodorant, hair done). If you have acne see a dr. as it can be preserved as dirty, carry and chew mints/gum. Honestly that's all you can do.
