Anyone have any experience with trazadone? We tried increasing my latuda but it made my blood pressure drop ridiculously low and I couldn’t function. Pdoc suggested trazadone as a next step because I’m still dealing with depression, my Cipralex is at the max dose and I can’t increase my latuda. I really don’t want to add another med to the mix but I don’t really want to try and switch meds again either. And I’m so exhausted all of the time already that I’m afraid this will just make me a zombie.

Trazodone never worked as an antidepressant for me, just as a sleep aid.

Trazadone gave me horrible side effects mainly a racing heartbeat. I used it for sleep not as an anti depressant.

Pdoc said that it apparently helps increase the effectiveness of the other meds and will help with getting a good nights sleep. I don’t need the sleep so much as I need something to help with the depression. My manic episodes seem to be under control but the depression won’t leave now.
