I think I am falling for an 18 year old student. Am I crazy or just hypo? How do I turn it off?

Are you older then this student? And are you their teacher?

Please think this through carefully. It could lead to a world of hurt for everyone involved if you decide to act on this.

While she is 18 she is still a child under many states criminal laws due to her being in your care. I know u said u would never act but there are a lot of instances where simple flirting turns into something else so best to squash that and keep it 1000% professional at all times.

May be you are focusing on the wrong question? Instead of asking ‘how do I turn it off?’, you may want to ask ‘how do I NOT act on my desires?’
I don’t think any of us can ‘turn off’ those triggers yet we sure can try to stop entertaining those feelings so that we do not act on them. You aren’t crazy. You cannot be at fault for how you feel. But please be very careful with your actions as they will impact far more people than yourself. We are here if you need to talk
