I'm down to 2 choices for Med D and I think I had a bad experience with them several years ago but don't remember. The other plan is great but more expensive. Does anyone have any experience with SilverScripts, positive or negative?

I'm eligible for Medicare in 5 days, and I saw an insurance rep who recommended Silverscript, so that's what i'll be using. This rep is highly recommended, so I don't think he would steer me wrong, but I won't know until I use it. They do have all my meds on their formulary, but some are higher tier. I'm just now trying to figure out how all this works.

CVS Health is dedicated to improving quality of life for all Americans. As a proud member of the CVS Health family of companies, SilverScript (PDP) shares that commitment by offering affordable, high quality coverage to more than 5 million people with Medicare. As an insurer chosen to help launch the Medicare Part D program in 2006, SilverScript has grown to become one of America’s largest stand-alone Medicare Part D insurer.

About SilverScript® Insurance Company
Silverscript is fine for me, but I stay away from CVS and use my own local pharmacy. Also, your initial signup for Medicare is the only time you have "guaranteed issue" for full coverage of other medical expenses, so do not get sucked into a low-to-zero "Advantage" premium now unless you are prepared to pay huge amounts as co-payments later on. I have been paying about $125.00 per month for Aetna from the very beginning, and I never would have been able to afford all my medical expenses any other way.

I’ve had Silverscripts for a year now and it has been fine.

Do you qualify for "extra help" with your drug plan?

I just got a letter saying my part D is going to double the premiums. But it does cover the Latuda and about August I start getting my meds free of a Co-pay, so I'm keeping this one.
