So, I was having all these bad symptoms and I was''t sleeping my pdoc and I talked about increasing my AP, he had said to go up to 400mg of seroquel in an email before we met two days later and so he wanted to know why I had only gone up half a tablet (150 to 200) and I explained that seroquel hits me pretty hard so I was planning to go up half a tab each couple of days. He was satisfied with this and said maybe go up to 250 last night. I was concerned with the fact that I slept so little that night, even with an increase so I said that I'd be okay with 300. Such a big mistake. I left room for plenty of sleep (7pm-5:45 am). I woke up and while getting ready i suddenly got weak, my heart rate increased and I basically almost threw up. So... I had to call in sick because I'm like dude I drive for part of my shift... I'm not going to work and putting myself in a bad situation. So I'm at home now, I slept about another 4 hours and I feel just peachy.. neither up nor down just normal. It still sucks that I couldn't go to work though. I haven't taken a mental health sick day in almost a year... was a little disappointed about that but its not like it wasn't for a good cause.

Doctors don't know your body. I always use my own discretion and do what I feel is right. I have no problem calling out for mental health reasons lol

Im glad you took the day off, I typically will only start a new med if I know I had no place to go the next day in case I had a reaction.

Glad you felt better after more sleep

I understand. I started on Seroquel right around the time I started my dream job. I slept through the entire second day of the new job. I didn’t even call. It turned out ok but I had to go off Seroquel.
