Do you get excited about a med change? Hoping that it will make things better or alleviate some of the bad side effects.

Depends on what it’s for. Most of the time if I’m changing meds it’s because I’m in a bad way and desperate. I wouldn’t say I’m excited but I am hopeful it will work. Then when it doesn’t I’m even worse off. Right now I’m not excited for any med changes because none of them are working, and I’m getting side effects.

I remember that you’ve had some bothersome effects. I had a med change and it was a life saver. I’m hoping you get a great result.

I always get excited in the beginning until the side effects start kicking in. After getting a bad rash from a medication and having to get steroid shots, I went unmedicated for years because I was so fed up with trying to find pills that worked with my body.

Medicated now, but still working on finding the "perfect cocktail"

Hope you find what works for you

I have doubts and hold some hope with med changes. I have, too often, been disappointed by the meds.

Since almost all my med changes happen when I'm in IP, at that point I'm hopeful for anything.

I've been on so many meds over the years & it's hard to say if they work, or if they're just a placebo effect. I still have my mood swings despite countless med changes. Changing meds means nothing to me.
