Hello all, I don't know if many will remember me but I used to post here back in the Summer time. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am doing better then great! I've gotten my life back on track and am thriving in mental/physical health while still taking my meds 900mg Lithuim 100mg Seroquel for sleep. I've had my full time job now for almost 3 months. I am a Independent Living Skills Worker. I also took up boxing and plan on competing amateur next summer. I've lost all the weight I put on from seroquel and plan on to continue to lose all my unwanted weight by March/April. I just want to give out a few pointers to those who are continuing to struggle. 1. Find a rountine schedule! This is vital for your mental health, if you let your mind become idle it will slowly torment you. 2. SLEEP! Gettin sleep alone can dramatically mood and thinking patterns such as SI, but oversleeping can cause opposite results leading to low mood and mental/physical fatigue. 3. Exercise/dieting. I know this can be hard for some and it was hard for me as well when I started out, but take baby steps in the beginning. This will dramactially improve your mental/physical mood and actually will help with sleeping if you are having trouble in that area. I know all of these pointers most of you all have heard before, but all it takes is hearing something one more time for it to finally change/impact your life. The best part of all this is I'm doing all of it while taking the meds that were initially a mental barrier for me because of the weight gaining stigma. Now I can have a peace of mind knowing I can reach my goals without having to worry about having an episode or not being able to sleep. Anyways sorry this is long, and I hope I may have encouraged someone through this. Never give up on yourselves, and remember getting through each day is a victory even when it feels like you were defeated. This will most likely be my last post on this site so Love to you all 🙏🏾
