So I was put on Geodon about 3-4 months ago ...

Well there is a physical medication I take for psoriac arthritis that doesnt play nice together apparently and my liver went into a uproar.. So I had no choice but to drop geodon right away...

Let me tell you how hellish it was for me. I was sweating one minute freezing the next and under blankets ( i live in Florida) my brain was zapping and felt like there was midgets in there swimming around. Nausea was a constant. I forgot a whole day .. mumbling and shyt my husband was trying to get me to the ER but the thought of having to stand up and do more than use the bathroom seemed impossible.. looking back should I have gone? Maybe but upon research done since then and a call to my Pdoc there really wasnt anything they could have done for me besides Benzos and anti nausea meds which I had both of.

My liver is doing better not completely back to standard but its improved. More blood work this week. Expect the full recovery.

Soooo what have I learned ? Despite using the same pharmacy for all meds and there fancy softwear to catch things? shyt still happens.. I got lucky

I think its time to go back and manage things without a AP.

YMMV

I have been on alot over the years... This change to Geodon was brought about just to "hopefully" help my rage over the incident that happened in my home.

I was on Latuda prior and it seemed to help keep my BP in check.. But after the hit my liver took? Nah I am taking a much needed break.

Sorry this is so tough!
I stopped geodon really early because of symptoms very similar to yours.
I hope you get some relief.

I started taking geodon 3 weeks ago. I feel worse on it but just giving it some more time before I chuck it.

sorry that happened Christina. Its sux but I hear these stories over and over again. Which is why I refuse to take an AP long term (own personal preference)

I hope you feel better soon!
