I have been stable but low for many months ... asked for doxpin and got 50mg ... was also given latuda 40mg ... started the doxpin first for a month felt some better was sleeping all night with one interuption which usually did not force me to get up ...

then started the latuda ... I have given it 2 months ... at first it was wonderful ... maybe a plecibo effect ? ... now it has completely upset my sleep and the "high" has completely worn off ...

I plan on stopping after the holidays (so I can reach my Pdoc first ) ... I really feel worst now than before I started it ...

I also have become very "emotional" ... seem to cry at anything .. a song .. a news event ... a tv show ...

has anyone else had sleeping problems with it ... or burn out so quickly ... or become very emotional ...

thanks for reading .. Tigger .

ps; threw a bottle across the room two days ago ... have not done that for years ... emotion and anger seem to just be under the surface ... Latuda ?

Yes, I got so emotional on latuda after about a month of being on it, and then I got the most intense anxiety I have ever had in my life. I had to get rid of it.

latuda worked well for me for 2-3 months. It then stopped working and also increased anxiety. I was super anxious about everything, which isn't like me.
I eventually dropped the Latuda and went on Abilify.

It made me too sleepy.

I was depressed on 40mg and my pdoc wanted to increase the dose to 60mg, but I was already sleepy on 40mg, so we got rid of it. The sleepiness wasn't from depression, though. I was on 40mg for months and was sleepy. Then I became depressed and slept EVEN MORE.

Also, I can't remember it helping with anything when I look back on things... but then again, 40mg is such a low dose. I thought it was helping, but it could've been a placebo effect for all I know. I have no idea.

They kept upping my dosage and finally ended up at max..120mg. Didn't really do anything for my depression and they took me off it in Sept. I did sleep good at night though.

I was on 60mg to start with, but had terrible akathisia. We lowered it to 20mg and I felt better without all the anxious restlessness. I'm also on Artane that helps with the TD.

Hope your pdoc gives you a better solution.

I don't know if it helped me because I threw up right after taking it. Only lasted for a month of that.

————yes on the crying part, but I also developed weird fears, altered sense of taste, and need to leave the house. Biggest mistake was simultaneously stopping my stabilizer and anti dep. I crashed when friend died. They tried my mom on serroqel-a mistake. We can’t take that class of drugs.

I just started 60mg of Latuda a week ago. The only side affect I have had so far is being very sleepy if I take it during the day.
