So I was admitted on the third and was let out last night. I'm exhausted but happy to be back home. I feel a lot better now and have some stability back. My first day back didn't go quite as planned though, my car broke down when I went to get my meds but I'm keeping positive thoughts. I'll just be stuck at home unless my uncle can help me run my errands until my car is fixed. Honestly, it's time for a new car. I have a 2000 Ford .. so he's a quite old and needs to retire already. So hopefully I hear back from my disability lawyer soon and we can get that moving along again. I plan on moving back home to Texas where I have a more stable support system. I'm pretty much alone up here because most of my family works all the time and only occasionally checks up on me. I was put on some old medications that I've taken before .. Risperdal and Seroquel to be exact. Low dosages so that I don't have the side effects I've had before. Honestly my brain feels like it's been scrambled around a bit. But I know that's the medicines kicking in or something like that. I feel kind of foggy and loopy a bit. I did make some friends in IP that I'm keeping in contact with. My appetite is back and I'm sleeping normally again. Just wanted to update ya'll.

I'm glad you're feeling better in general, and hope your car gives you some more good miles. Hopefully the foggy/loopy feeling will pass soon.

I recall what those first few days home, following IP, felt like. The first time around the psychiatrist who was seeing me on the psych ward had me go home overnight & then come back before discharging me entirely. After having been home for the 1 night, she asked me how it felt. I recall telling her that it felt like being at the site of a train wreck. After I had been home for a few days I got into a partial hospital program; & I think that was a good thing for me at the time. Good luck with your move...
