So my brain MRI came back clear. I see my neuro on the 1st so she will probably send me for some more memory testing with a psychiatrist. Memory seems to be working a bit better now though. It's like it comes in waves. Maybe cause I'll get stressed and then it stops working. I'm trying to figure it out. It's weird. The healthier I eat the better it works, which makes no god damn sense. Especially the more protein shakes/cold pressed juice I have it works better. My husband had to have 2 forms of ID for his new job and he couldn't find a second one but I thought I remembered where his birth certificate was but his SSN card was there (an old GTA lock box). Then yesterday we had to go to storage to get books for the textbook company to ship out and I could remember which books cause I heard my husband say them when he was on the phone with the customer but he couldn't remember them. who the **** knows. It's like it selectively works. Like I was hanging out with my friend the other day and we've been friends since 5th grade and I could remember so much stuff. weird indeed. The less stress I'm under the more I remember.

Also I remembered the other night that I had found a tick on me in October and all this ******** with allergies started about 3-5 weeks after that. So I'm going to ask the allergist about the alpha gal thing since I have such a hard time with red meat and pork. Dear lord I ate a cheeseburger the other day at lunch and it put me down the rest of the day. I have this bad feeling I'm becoming allergic to the gelatin in my meds, since that's a meat product, and I'm not even sure wtf to do about that. I had such a bad allergic reaction the night before last I was up all night itchy and I couldn't take anything cause my allergy test is on thursday and I can't take any benedryl. The whole no antihistamines 7 days prior to that is really pissing me off. I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary the day before last, just some yogurt and chicken and salad. I have been noticing if I'm still up 3+ hrs after I take my night meds I get itchy. Stupid ****. My mother in laws, boyfriends, daughter has the alpha gal thing, so maybe I should talk to her and ask her about it. My husband is skeptical, but he always is. I hope it's not that. Stupid ticks.

Other than that, my husband found out he's leaving on the 21st, so at least I still have some time left to spend with him and he's not so rushed to get out of here. He's going to a protest today then taking his car to the shop cause he needs an oil change and get it inspected cause the registration and taxes are due. My car is due too, but it needs to be fixed first, the horn goes off when the high beams are put on and my mechanic said he wouldn't pass my car this year. His car is making a weird noise. I think one of his belts needs to be tightened. Hopefully that's all that needs to be done.

The weather is finally getting warmer, so all our pipes are finally unfrozen. We can take showers at home again. yay. We had been going to the gym to take showers. We can catch up on all our laundry now too cause even that was frozen. The only thing that had been working was the kitchen faucet. It was a pain carrying water from the kitchen to the bathroom to fill up the toilet to flush it. I hope it doesn't get that cold again this winter. We actually beat a record for most consecutive hours under freezing. The last record was from 1917. Now I have to wait for the ground to warm up so I can set up my new weather station I got for christmas cause it needs to be put on a 5" pole and the ground is rock hard. I need to calibrate the rain gauge too on it, so trying to figure out how to accomplish that.

Anyways. I'll stop rambling. Things are looking up finally.

When I'm stressed, I'm thinking about so many things that my mind is racing with too many thoughts. All of those thoughts distract and overwhelm me, therefore hurting my memory and concentration. It's anxiety for sure. Do you think that's what's going on? Have you tried an anxiolytic?

Sorry to hear about the cars. That sounds sucky. Does the horn stay on when you put up the high beams, or is it only a toot?

You could make a music video with your car. I saw a Kia Christmas commerical that did this with lights:

Just turn the high beams on and off to a beat

I'm on gabapentin for anxiety and i have klonopin PRN that i rarely take. Maybe I need to raise the gabapentin. Been slowly decreasing it over the past 2 years. I just hate feeling so tired on all the meds. Currently i take 200 mg of gabapentin in the AM and 1200 mg in the PM. I don't feel anxious though just stressed. Mostly about all the health issues and not knowing wtf to eat.

The high beams just stay on. It's funny you mention the kia commercial cause my car is a '03 kia rio. lol. I seriously need a new car, so hopefully I'll get disability soon and will be able to buy one. But who the **** knows when that will happen. It's almost been 2 months since my hearing and the secretary at my lawyers office said it could take a few months, so it might not be till february. I guess I should look at it like more backpay and more money for my lawyer? haha damn lawyer takes 25% of backpay.

Hmm, I’ve noticed the gabbies (gabapentin) give me memory problems. Have you noticed that they kick in hard about two hours after taking them?

I have sworn off taking them at work unless it’s a bad day, and I take half a capsule or I won’t be able to concentrate.

My next thought is if you are really stressed, yeah, that could be it too.

I've had memory probs since 2010 when I had a major psychotic break. Since then it has just gotten worse. They're just ****ing finally listening to me now.

In other news BCBS has made nuvigil and provigil tier 4 meds. I don't have $80 to just throw around to stay awake all day. I found out though at costco you can get 60 200 mg provigil for $56. I emailed pdoc to see if he'd send in a prescription for that. When the pharmacist told me the cost of the nuvigil yesterday i wanted to tell her it'd be cheaper to buy a ****ing coffee and caffeine pills every day. I don't understand why BCBS would make a generic a tier 4 med. I feel for the people that have narcolepsy and depend on the med.
