In the past I've enjoyed sporting events, concerts, etc., but it's gotten to the point that I can never make plans in advance to attend anything...or even to make plans with friends or family. I never know how I'll feel from week to week. I often isolate almost entirely due to depression/anxiety. It sometimes feels like I've hit a brick wall where living life is concerned. There's a concert I'd really like to attend on Thursday, but the way I'm feeling now, I couldn't justify spending an advanced $50 on a ticket, only to eat the investment. Just a rant...I hate this.

I go through this, too.
I sometimes buy tickets and then sell them on craigslist if I cannot make the event. I have good luck selling the tickets the same day as the show. ![]() WC

I am the same. People have stopped inviting me places because they know I will just cancel. And its a cycle. You need to get out and do things, have friendships and a balanced life, but once you isolate, its hard to get out of that rut.
