|
My hair is falling out each time I touch it. I wouldn’t mind if I had heaps of hair.
But my hair is fine and thin. Anyone else have hairloss as a side effect? |

I did on that combination and on a few other meds.
The doctor told me to take centrum silver (or take selenium and biotin supplements). I also used a special shampoo/conditioner called Nioxin that helps with hair re-growth.

Yes! My hair started falling out like crazy when my depakote dose went up! Interestingly it was this and NOT the weight gain that made my doctor lower it. It’s still falling out but less so now that I’m only on 750mg. I also take 600 trileptal for mood stabilization and biotin and selenium supplements, which didn’t really seem to help but couldn’t hurt so why not right?

Yes, I’m on 800mg and my dr also decided against increasingly the dose further because of the hairloss and gut symptoms.
I guess it’s a small price to pay for stability. I’ll give those hair products a go. |
