Even though Bipolar1 is my primary diagnosis, I suffer from GAD, panic attacks, claustrophobia and agoraphobia.

Normally because my bipolar is unstable and so all consuming I don’t notice the other stuff so much.

However, now my Bipolar has been stable for 4 weeks I’m noticing my anxiety levels increasing. A small part of the anxiety is related to the fact that I’ve reached 4 weeks stability and historically that means I’m in for an episode soon.
An increase in anxiety occurs every.single.time. when my bipolar tries to stabilise.
Then my brain goes “I’m over the anxiety.” My Bipolar destabilises and my anxiety levels drop because my brain is too busy dealing with bipolar.

I don’t have a question. Rambling I guess. I’m not sure if anyone will even see this given I’m in a different time zone.
Just feel like a freak. I’m doing all the (often boring) right things but I just can’t achieve ‘normal’.

When I take new meds that are less sedating, My anxiety goes through the roof. There is no longer a buffer between me and reality. It's a hard thing to deal with but the anxiety does go away after a while. Best wishes And big hugs.

I also have a lot of anxiety when not dealing with mania or severe depression. I have thought of this anxiety as another symptom of bipolar.

I'm dealing with the same thing right now. Bipolar has been stabilized so now I'm dealing with more PTSD and anxiety symptoms. I can never win...
((((Hugs))))) I hope some day we can reach a point where we are truly stable and healthy.

I have a few mental health diagnoses -- Bipolar Depression, CPTSD, anxiety, etc. It's a challenge to cope with it all. We can only do the best we can do!

Hugs to you!

I have the same issues with anxiety, for me OCD. When I'm having mood or psychosis problems, my OCD takes a back seat. But when I'm stable the OCD is really strong.

Wishing you better days ahead and no new episodes.
