I just realized that I made a mistake in my application for my masters degree and they might not receive my transcripts in time. I’ve been planning this for so long and can only apply once a year and I go and screw it up. I never used to do things like this but now my brain just doesn’t function like it used to. How can I cope? I’m so mad at myself right now I feel like doing something destructive to myself.

Can you call the program and tell them you've been sick and in the hospital and during that chaos you accidentally mixed up the deadline? People tend to be pretty forgiving with that question; I've used it with bills I missed a few times and people were very kind. You don't have to share more than "I was in the hospital" so they'll never know it is bipolar related.

There is no use calling them, I misread something and should have figured it out before I even went IP.

They don't have to know when you were in the hospital specifically. And before you went in you were unwell enough to need IP so I think that counts as fair enough to ask for an extension.

My mom is a college professor and requests for more time come constantly. You won't be the first or last to ask for extra time and you have a better reason than 99% of them.

Don’t give up. It doesn’t hurt to try.
