So my parents want me to go up north with them. Now that is great. I thought I ruined their out west trip with my paranoia but they don't see it like that. Now here's the problem : because I'm on desolvable medication it costs about $1.5k a month non desolvable costs about $100. They can afford the non desolvable but won't that prove I'm able to take the meds and insurance will stop paying it? Its not worth it if I can't go back on desolvable meds. However my parents are getting older and this is a good time to spend with them.

What psychogenic medications are you taking that come in dissolvible and non dissolvable form? I've never heard of that. Is there a reason you must take the medicine dissolved? (like it's difficult for you to swallow pills?) Did you have to go through some rigamarole with your insurance to get your drugs in this form? (like a letter from your doctor?) If not then they may not care. You can ask your mediative insurance provider (your HR if you get it through work). But if you're pretty sure they won't switch back then you've answered your own question "It's not worth it."

Personally I'd choose the trip with my parents whatever the cost.

I’d stay on the meds. It’s too hard to attain stability.

Don't take the chance of ruining your stability. Stay on the meds.

If I remember correctly my zyprexa came in a dissolvable form and a non dissolvable form. Doctors/pharmacists would always ask which form I was supposed to get and I never knew

How long would you be going away and why wouldn't you be able to take the dissolvable form where you'll be? Obviously it'd be best if you could see your parents and stay on meds, but honestly if you can only choose one I'd stick with the meds.

hat psychogenic medications are you taking that come in dissolvible and non dissolvable form?Lamictal and zyprexa. Is there a reason you must take the medicine dissolved? (like it's difficult for you to swallow pills?) It's difficult for me to swallow pills so I don't stick with it for long if it's not desolveable. Did you have to go through some rigamarole with your insurance to get your drugs in this form? It took a lot of appeals and months to get on zyprexa desolvable. Lamictal desolvable was easier to get.

I'm leaving for at least a month.
