I had some weird dreams last night. The first is funny so I'll share it first...

I dreamt the queen of England came to my house and we took silly pictures together and she even gave me a packet of tuna with our pic on it. ???

Second not so good...

I dreamt about my abusice step mother. I don't remember all the details but is played on my PTSD this morning. I woke up the other morning scared because I thought I was still living in that house. It took me a few minutes to feel safe and remember I haven't lived there in 14 years.

Wow.

I have weird dreams quite often. They range from being just odd to nightmares, but they're always so vivid. I usually can remember them when I first wake up but as the day fades I forget them, and a new set comes in each night. Lol.

Queen dream is awesome.
Sorry about the other. I had the same nightmare for two decades. Every night.
I've stopped having all dreams since I restarted prazosin and I've never slept better. I feel very rested when I get up.

I had one last night too.

I dreamt I was at a church event and it was time to go
Home. My granny said I had to go to my dad and stepmothers house for the night and I was really, really scared. I woke upset and scared.

I usually remember my dreams only briefly in the morning and then they're gone, in less than an hour. I don't have the time in the morning to write them down though. I just have the feeling that they're not so good and may be adding to the morning anxiety.

The only time in the recent memory when I had vivid dreams was last Spring when I was on Remeron. I still remember one of them. It's burnt in like real memories.

I usually freak out in church at all. It's like a cult no matter which one it is.

best dream I ever had was being checked in to hospital, and meeting another bipolar patient called george
after a few days with nothing to do on the ward, we broke out of hospital and went to terrorize the local bars.

hahaha.

The youth minister kicked me out for misbehaviours many times. He was so boring and boisterous and thought he was 100% right about all. He also got really angry when I asked questions he couldn't answer. Found out years later he was touching little girls. No wonder I don't like church. That, and the repression and denial of self to control the minions.

Can we just get back to the OP ?????

HallieBeths’s post is about odd dreams , all this religious stuff should go under the spiritual forum.

Yes one involved her at church but quickly moved to the abusive she went through with her step mother not her religion through ....but no one know what her religion is and that is her business

Thanks for your understanding.

Like sonjaward809 said. Most of my dreams are either nightmares or just weird stuff that makes no sense. Also, if I don't write everything down or type it out right after I dream it then, I gradually forget what it even was unless it's something particularly disturbing. I've been having pretty much 90+% nightmares since age three. I know that it isn't normal but, it has always been this way for me.

I don't always have them but with PTSD I do get them every once in a while. It's unusual to have three days in a row thoug.

Melatonin has been linked to vivid dreams and nightmares.

But maybe the frequency is related to medication. Its all possible...or your brain is trying to work something out. I had horrible nightmares 3 nights in a row. I woke up disgusted and wondering how in the world my brain would think up such horrible things. Maybe I should not fall asleep to those investigation discovery murder crime shows...

My ex watched the show where they talk in the opening about molestation and then it goes "bing bong" and that would give me horrible dreams about the show's content.

I did not know that about melatonin and dreams.

I'm not sure. I can't sleep without a sleep aid and melatonin works well for me. I just want the
Nightmares to end!!!!!

One thing I realized with poor sleep, it makes my mood changes worse. I hope you get solid sleep soon, I imagine it similar for all of us with bipolar. Put on happy shows before bed.

I switched from Melatonin to benadryl (just 25mg, 50 if im frigidity. Anymore and it makes me pee 100 times) and only take the Melatonin when im struggling with long periods of bad sleep. But the Melatonin always made my dreams worse and its the only time I experienced sleep paralysis too. Never want that again.

Wow.
This made me smile. Someone from America dreaming about my country’s figurehead Meanwhile I’ve dreamt that I went to the White House and danced with President Obama at a ball.
In my case it’s Seroquel that makes my dreams so vivid.
Thanks for this!
