Hello,

I have just started Vraylar, 1.5mg day 1, and 3mg day 2, day 3, ect. The problem for me is nausea. When i increased to 3mg i threw up. Now i take the 1.5 morning and night to space it out, and this morning i still threw up. I also don't get restless, in fact i get a bit tired.

Now i really want to stick with this drug, because i know the half life is so long, i should give it a shot. I could get medication for the nausea, but i really wish i could handle it on my own.

Does anyone here have experience with Vraylar? More specifically, has anyone vomited early on then recovered later? I'm looking for success stories but i'll humor anyone with experience.

Thanks!

Do you take it on an empty stomach, or with food? Food may help quell the nausea.

I took vraylar and I didn’t have any adverse effects from it. However I would agree that you should take it after eating. Doesn’t necessarily have to be a full meal.

It didn’t do anything at all for me but I hope that you have better luck.

You didn't get tired or even hungry?

How long were you on it? I hear it takes a while to kick in, and 6mg is the target dose.

No I actually had reduced appetite and I was less tired on it. I was on it for about 2.5 months and then had a psychotic depressive episode so went off of it. I was on 3mg. tge episode was bad enough that I didn’t want to just raise it and see what happened I just wanted something to work.

Yikes - sounds like this drug is literally a flip of a coin. Some call it a miracle, some a nightmare.

Hopefully my side effects go away eventually. I have seen an ever so slight increase in mood, which i am hoping will continue as i reach the plateau level of drug in my blood.

I've been on it for a year. In the beginning I had a stomach ache but it went away after a few weeks. You just have to wait it out. I take 6mg for two days in a row and then none on the third day. It has made me much more stable. I've managed to stay out of the hospital for 13 months. I am sober from alcohol and drugs. There are no side effects from Vraylar.
