Who’s watching? Go Eagles!

Even though they trounced my Vikings, I’d hate to see the Pats win again.

Any thoughts?

I don't physical contact sports. I do like auto and bikes. Occasionally I'll watch Baha, sidecar racing(truly they are the definition of crazy!), legends racing(beautiful old cars, some one-of-one), bikes on isle of man (motorcycles on street course with super tight turns with cobblestones (!) in places and a few wide open straights), and proto exhibition(prototype cars). I like to see cars taking on the Nurburgring with the carousels being my favorite. Six inches means the difference between an awesome high-powered turn or needing a new car. I never watch for long though.

I'm thinking that if you don't like crowds this is a good time to go shopping.

I am a Giants fan being from northern N.J. and I was a huge Vikings fan as a kid just
because I thought the logo was so cool. lol
I will be cheering for the Eagles just because they are the closest to where I live now
in south Jersey and everyone down here are Eagles fans.
Also the Patriots have won so many SBs it would be nice for another team
to get one.

Go sportsball! I tried watching football on TV once. It was like watching paint dry.

Paint that they stop every 5 seconds, somebody gets angry, 3 people take turns to talk about, and then there's a penalty assigned, before they play two commercials then finally let the paint continue to dry.

Football is the only sport I like to watch, though I usually don’t watch. I did watch the whole game tonight though and was on the edge of my seat (hoping for an eagles victory) the whole time. If I didn’t hate my husband so much right now I would be wishing he were alive to see this. He was a die hard eagles fan. I was thinking of my brother (another die hard fan) the whole time and finally texted him when they officially won.

Now I’m finally calm enough to sleep after watching the celebrations in philly. I’m right outside of Trenton, nj. There were fireworks in my neighborhood!

I'm not ordinarily an Eagles fan, but I was today---I'm a fan of any team that plays the Patriots. Finally Bill Belecheat and Tom Shady got a taste of what it's like to be the losers...I take considerable delight in that.

The hell of it is, the Patriots are probably the best football team ever fielded, which is why it's such a shame they feel they have to cheat. They're so good they don't have to. And that game was a nail-biter from kickoff to the very end---the Pats were never out of it, and the Eagles didn't look or play like the underdogs they were. Great game!

Thanks for sharing your unique perspectives wildflowerchild & BipolaRNurse. I always say that my favorite teams are my pitiful Detroit Lions (who have never even made it to the Super Bowl) & whoever is playing the Pats. IMO, last year's game was more exciting (OT, for goodness sake), but yesterday's was right up there. I liked the fact they showed the 99-year-old Eagles fan in the seats who had been going to Eagles games since 1933! I can't help but think how much it meant to him to survive long enough to see their first Super Bowl win. Nice story.

For a long time Brady was a hero of mine, I mean really 6th round draft pick (or 7nth?), 4th string quarterback at first, and the Pats were the team I rooted for after living in Massachusetts for awhile

so it was particularly sweet to see them lose on a Brady turnover even though they were in the game literally until the final microsecond waiting to see if a Pat might come up with the ball in the endzone.

Foles deserved his MVP. That 4th down and 1 on the last scoring drive pass was just enough to get the yardage... The eagles made a bunch of clutch plays and really deserved to win.

I'm not a huge football fan. Hockey is my sport. But like many people, I often tune in for the side show that accompanies the bug game (the commercials, the red carpet, the drama, the award ceremony, halftime nudity, crotch-grabbing, the speeches, that sort of thing). For me, I enjoy the subsequent rioting and mayhem that normally follows the Super Bowl. There's nothing like a watching a collection of drunken 20 somethings bull rush the local liquor store. It's like seeing a new episode of "Cops".
