I don't want to be on my Geodon anymore. When I miss a dose I get Brain zaps. Do you know how long the brain zaps last?

A lot of psych meds cause that and cause it to happen when you skip. Careful there

Don't quit anything without talking to your doctor. You are much better now than you were not too long ago. I don't want to see you back there again.

The geodon has brought back my dystonia. My side effect med does nothing anymore. So I have to choose between physical pain or mental pain. He mentioned saphris but he said he had every patient quit because they were so nauseous on it.
Looks like my last option is latuda.

Staying on an anti psychotic would be beneficial for you.

Saphris was pretty chill. I take that when I get manic along with the geodon. It made me tired asf though. I didn't get nauseous on it. It just tastes horrible. I found though if you took it as you were falling asleep you didn't really focus on the taste though. Black cherry my ***. It'll numb your mouth though if you don't keep your mouth tightly shut when it's disintegrating. The it would remind me of illegal drugs. bahaha. It's gotten me out of tight situations more than a few times.

Sorry, I must have missed something. Didn’t splitting the dose into am and pm give you pain free days?

hi. have you seen a movement disorder specialist? why did you drop clozapine? they have some new drug for tardive dyskinesia...a nurse at the clinic was chatting me up about it...maybe it could be used for dystonia, too? I think some doctors still use reserpine, now and then. kind of old school, but...hey, if it works...

It did seem to be helping, but then it just stopped working.I dropped Clozapine because it made me gain a TON of weight.

sometimes, doctors add metformin in with clozapine (or zyprexa) treatment. keeps weight gain to a minimum and can reduce the risk of diabetes, too.

sorry you're suffering. have you ever tried abilify or the other D2 partial agonist drugs?

I missed 2 doses of Geodon until my husband found out (I told him)and he was beyond pissed off. So I went back on it. We'll see how it goes.

Good luck! I think it's a bad idea too, to just go off meds. I know, I've been coming off lamictal on my own with my doctor still not knowing. I'm still on meds, but not all of them
