Sorry for so many threads...

I switched my meds to the morning because I kept waking up in the middle of the night. We're walking maybe 3-5 times. It's really bad.

Ever since switching to the morning, I haven't been hungry. I've actually barely eaten a thing today or yesterday. I'm just not interested in food, either. Like, food is disgusting to me.

Does anyone else have this problem? What can I do?

All food is disgusting to you?

Can you supplement with a shake or something like Ensure until you get this sorted out?

I have not had this problem. I'd wanted to respond to you. I'd also like to say: Please don't apologize for posting.

Yeah, I don't want food anymore. I don't know if I even want a shake. Just having food in my stomach when I'm not hungry is uncomfortable. But I know it's bad to go without food for a long time, so maybe a shake will do. Thanks for the idea.

Maybe try something gentle on your stomach like fruit or yogurt just to make sure you're getting something in?

Force yourself to eat at least something through the day. Perhaps if it is a small amount of food each time, this will be more manageable for you.

I wish. Everytime I see a good, greasy, thick and big Porterhouse on TV, I hafta run to the kitchen. And eat ham and cheese without bread by the truckload.

When I was too sick to eat from my gall bladder my doctor suggested Boost Breeze which is fruit flavored. I chose to force myself to eat because that stuff is most high fructose corn syrup and I knew it was going to be a couple of months before my surgery and the idea of living on HFCS for 2 months was worse than forcing myself to eat. But the option exists.

I have to force myself to eat in the morning. My morning meds kills my appetite.

I don't know how anyone can eat in the morning. I never get hungry until at least noon or 1 PM. Trying to eat before that just makes me nauseated. Yuck.

I've been through this as well. When it happens, I find that I can just about stomach a small chocolate bar a couple of times a day. It's not any way to live, so by all means see a doctor, but even a chocolate bar is better than nothing.

I had this when i worked and got assigned to a monster of a manager. I could only have juice for breakfast, jello for lunch and a small dinner. My psychiatrist advised me to go on sick leave but i was so anxious about the new manager that i turned it down. I only weighed about 120 then so my psychiatrist was really worried about me. It resolved itself in about a month. Hope you feel better soon, Blue! Hugs, Jane.

I’m in the same boat but mine is from anxiety and stress. I ate two mandarin oranges and a roll with butter today, not a lot but at least it’s something. Over the summer I had the same issue and I lived off protein shakes.

I can’t eat in the am at all, ick !

Have a Boost or Ensure might be the answer. Please push yourself to eat daily , trust me it’s easy to fall into a eat disorder situation

Take care

Thanks for the advice, guys.

I ate a small yogurt thing and a slice of toast today. I'm really not hungry. I probably won't eat anything else later in the day, either.

I think you might be onto something, Wildflower. It might be stress. Maybe I should talk to my therapist to try to resolve this...

~Christina: yeah, I'm trying not to lose weight. I'm 5'5" and used to be 95lb because I had this issue before of not wanting to eat. Like, I kept losing weight because I hardly ever ate... and I was always dizzy/lightheaded from the lack of food. (This was before meds, though.) I don't know why I have these phases of no hunger. Must be stress.
