I left the forum last year in November after being censored for mentioning the death of my sister in what was supposed to be a “happy” thread. It wasn’t a conscious decision. just looked elsewhere for support. Since then I’ve lost another sister to mental illness. She died on 12/16/17 from an overdose of prescription Meds and alcohol. Don’t know what to say another more other than hello and “I’m fine.” Lies to honest. Sometimes life just sucks and we have to take it one day at a time.

My condolences on your sisters, Shazerac. That is hard. It is good to have you back, and I hope you find support here once again.

Glad your back, sorry for your losses and what seems to have been an overreaction from the " happy" thread.

I noted your absence, but had no idea why you were gone. I'm sorry it's been such a tough journey for you. When the hurt subsides, I hope better days lay ahead.
Thanks for this!

Hi Shazerac, First of all, I'm really happy to see you back here.

Secondly, I well remember the thread. I was also reprimanded for posting about my own sister's death on that thread. I thought the whole thing was handled inappropriately, to say the least. The hurt remains.

Most importantly, I am terribly sorry about your second sister's death. My heart goes out to you. Sometimes one day at a time...sometimes one hour at a time.

Words fail to bring comfort to what must be overwhelming grief. It is good to hear from you. We are here to support you any way we can. Many HUGS!

God-damn it. This is another example of the “if there were a god...” argument.

A good and just god would not allow suffering.

I am overwhelmed by your losses. I’m am so very sorrowful.

I can remember days that didn’t suck. Can you?

I am so sorry for your losses, Shazarac. I lost my mom to mental illness too in an intentional OD and lost my husband who died young.

I have no point except to say you are in good company here

I hope you find support among us You have given so much support, and I have not forgotten how kind you were to take the time to give well-thought out answers to my many questions, especially when I was new.
Thanks for this!
