Yesterday, I messed up and accidentally took my night meds in the morning, which made me sleepy. I guess I should have called my pdoc and asked what to do about yesterday's night meds, but I just took them as normal. OMG, I got such forgetfulness! I think it's the extra clonidine that causes it (he had to reduce it a bit because of forgetfulness, I use it for sleep but it is really a blood pressure medication). This morning, I had extreme, extreme forgetfulness. I'm talking got into the car to drive my daughter to school and suddenly wondering why the car was going in reverse when I hadn't yet put it in drive and forgetting how to turn the windshield wipers off (I drive this car all the time). I nearly forgot to hand my daughter her backpack dropping her off at school and kept forgetting everything else (starting the wash, starting the dryer, feeding the cats). OMG, I am lucky I didn't get into a car wreck! Luckily, I'm feeling better as clonidine wears off in 12-16 hr. Anyway, if you accidentally take your night meds in the morning, I learned the hard way, it's best to call your pdoc to see what to do that night.

Im glad you two are ok. That sounds scary but it can happen to anyone of us. My brain is forgetful just from my own meds i cant imagine what a blood pressure med would feel like. Have you tried blister packs? Some pharmacies pack your meds into morning noon and night bubbles so youre much less likely to forget or double dose.

Clonodine, at even a low dose, makes me very dangerously suicidal.
(I have tried in in low doses for neuropathic pain; no can do.)

I am glad you are feeling better!
