Now that I've got 13 pills left of my son's 20 mg Vyvanse prescription, which he won't take anymore for ADHD after our horrible experience yesterday, he said it made him incredibly anxious, I am wondering if anyone has tried it for fatigue, brain fog, and depression as part of bipolar disorder. I'll ask my pdoc if he has had experience with this drug but I'd like to hear from you if you have tried it or would have some advise. I'm steering into a major depression, isolating and fearful of the world. I've not been exercising and am looking for something to get me off the sofa too.

No, ADHD meds have never helped my depression. Excluding Ritalin, they either make me manic, or, if I'm depressed, they make me mixed. Maybe Vyvanse would help, but that's just my experience. You should try it if your Dr agrees to it, to see if it helps.

I take vyvanse because zoloft drains my energy. It gives me an energy boost, but it also increases anxiety. So basically I have energetic panic attacks. If I take a benzo to help the anxiety, it counter acts the vyvanse. Aren't meds fun?

I've been on Vyvanse with lamictal and an ap. I wasn't doing well with or without it so I kept it long enough to try it, wanting to switch back to Adderall. Pdoc did that, but it was final that all stimulants were removed from my meds. I do miss the clarity, but not the irritable feelings it gave.
Some people get manic symptoms on stimulants. Be wary |
