I’m manic which is such fun.
I bought two pairs of shoes earlier in the week $400. Yesterday I bought two shirts $500. Today I bought a backpack and it was a bargain at only $30.

But it’s amazing! I have zero anxiety. Has anyone else noticed a drop in anxiety when their mood is up?

Yes for sure. Mostly I deal with social anxiety and it’s gone when I’m hypomanic.

Be careful about spending so much money though. Unless you’re rich lol. Then I guess spend away. But $900 is a lot in a few days.

It’s the only complete relief from anxiety I’ve ever known.

Keep your receipts and tags. When you come down you might want to return things.

Do you have someone to help hold your cards and keep spending levels normal for you?
Thanks for this!

Yes my hubby is working late tonight but I think he is planning to do a bit of confiscating when he gets home. Lol.
That just makes me want to go shopping while I still can. It’s 3:10pm on Thursday so plenty of time to do some damage.
We’re not rich but comfortable. The last time we were ‘uncomfortable’ was when I was newly diagnosed and under medicated. I spent thousands on clothes, shoes, etc. and emptied our savings.

Yes, when my mood is up my social anxiety is gone and I feel the need to be very social. I stop worrying and I don't care about other people's opinions because I feel so great that only my own opinions matter. Sometimes I become a selfish ***** but sometimes I'm full of life and good company (at least in my own opinion) and I laugh a lot, even when there's nothing funny.

Oh yeah. In my teens I was extremely anxious, especially in social situations, then I started getting hypomania and all that went away and I would go up to people I don't know, ask them if they wanted to throw pumpkins off the roof with me, and then dance with them. There is nothing about that I would be comfortable doing without hypomania.

Full blown mania for me, on the other hand, involves more anxiety than I care to think about.
Thanks for this!

I wish my anxiety would go away but it doesn't. It just winds up as high as I do.

So my hubby has confiscated my credit cards and wallet. I have been left with $3.20, enough to get a coffee from the cafe on the corner.
My plan for today is to give myself blue hair. I have a blue toner/colour kit at home. That will be fun.
