I can't remember if I made a thread on this before or not, apologies if I did.

I'm on 1mg currently and my anecdote is that it's been a wonder drug for me so far. It completely nuked my depression. Ever since it started working, I've been feeling somewhat consistently content despite bad things happening in my life. I love it.

What are your experiences?

I have visual and auditory hallucinations (and I guess paranoia) outside of mood episodes, so I had to increase my dose all the way to the max of 4mg. But even then, I still get breakthrough symptoms -- although they're nowhere near as frequent. Maybe a couple of times a day for 1-2 days a week?

Rexulti has definitely helped with my depression. I haven't been depressed ever since going on it a few months ago. Well, I've gotten suicidal ideation within the past month, but that's because I went off the med. Going back on it got rid of the symptoms.

Overall, it's the best antipsychotic I've been on, and I've tried: Abilify, Latuda, Seroquel, Seroquel XR

I'm on 2 mg rexulti along with 300 mg Wellbutrin XR. I've noticed that I ruminate a lot less with the rexulti and I am less stressed. It didnt' seem to help with depression but adding the Wellbutrin to the mix has helped a bit. I experience my depression as pain in my brain and that pain has lifted. Mainly I take rexulti to keep psychosis away and so far so good with that. I'm hoping it doesn't disturb my lipids and blood sugar the way zyprexa did. It also seems to be weight neutral.

I haven't noticed any side effects from rexulti.

I was on it for about 4 months. At first it helped with depression but with work stress it didn’t work anymore. However it did help with psychotic symptoms, namely my paranoia. I just don’t know what’s going to be going on with insurance so the hospital took me off and put me on haldol instead. That doesn’t work on depression but it’s eliminated paranoia.
