I met a guy. At WRAP facilitator training! He's a peer supporter like me. He's sweet and hes cuuuuute. He came to a Derby party with me yesterday (I'm a Ky gal. Derby parties are huge.) he's a recovering alcoholic (4 years sober!!) and so I made sure he was ok being around people drinking. He was fine. We had coffee before wen went and it was fun!
We have a mutual friend who can't keep things to herself. She told me he wants to be friends and get to know me and not carried away too fast with me but he thinks he's already crazy about me. I want to take things slow too. Get to know him and enjoy our time together. I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!

I can feel your excitement!

Yeah we just get coffee mostly. We have plans to go fishing and on a picnic. Cheap and free things are what we like haha

Hey that's great news. I've been sober for one year and you want advice?
Keep him away from anything that has alcohol on tap. We say it doesn't bother us, but believe me it's in the back of our minds forever and we are always looking for an excuse to get plastered. Like I said that is amazing how you connected and I believe that you might need to visit (dates) in less social pressure environments that sell booze. I hate to be the only one telling you this, but it takes one to know one. Does he frequently make jokes about others drinking? If not I've gone to far. My raw honestly always pisses people off, but not to be mistaken for insincerity. Congratulations on accomplishing something most people desire. Comparability |

We had so much fun! We are a small breakfast for dinner at "twig and leaf" restaurant and then walked around.
