My front neighboor, who's a Vietnam Vet, went to some sort of a parade yesterday.
I was tending the garden when he came back. With a strange look in his face. I thought he was concern and reflective. He was also a cop in NY for 20 years. A lot to reflect on. He crossed the street to my house, and I thought he needed someone to vent. "You hungry?. he said. "I'm always hungry". "Skip dinner, we're BBQing." "Cool, you want something from the supermarket?. I got wine and some beer." "I'm good. Change of clothes, that's all". It's like around 6:30PM. "What time Joe?". "In 15 OK?". "Super." What a good time. And I was waiting for a sad story. Never try to guess what someone is thinking.
