Ok so I know how we can get a song stuck in our heads that is on repeat for days, weeks or months. What is driving me nuts is when I’ve got the song in my head my brain is singing the lyrics but I tap my teeth to the beat of the music. It’s this constant tap tap tapping. The other thing is when I’m watching tv or listening to a conversation my fingers are discreetly typing out the dialogue like on a key board. Maybe it’s along the same line as rocking back and forth or wiggling my foot etc when anxious. Anyone else have the teeth thing?

I used to grind my teeth at boarding school. In a time were they were inventing the wheel.
We were in 20 bed dormitory and nobody could sleep but me.
I got punished every day. Kneeling in corn for hours. Enclosed in a closet.
Doing push ups without food. And even the water was suspended at one point.
Had to pray thousands of Hail marys outloud. I few hundred holy fathers for balance too.
Nobody ever told me why. The motherfooking catholic priests were ignorant enough to think I was possesed by mephystopheles.

I don’t do teeth tapping, but I finger tap rhythms and tap type words I hear sometimes.

My daughter will sometimes get exasperated and blurt out, “Stop it!”

It’s just a habit.
